They guard the concrete walls and base of fermenters against acid damage. The easy-to-install protective membranes obviate the need for the laborious, normally multi-coat application of liquid formulations that necessitate long waiting times.
Covertec CPL PP is a two-component concrete protection membrane which consists of a > 1.5 mm thick flexible lining made of thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) to protect the concrete and a 3D anchorage system to ensure a reliable and permanent bond with the concrete. Its excellent mechanical properties make sure that any stress cracks in the concrete are durably sealed. Furthermore, the material is extremely robust and hard-wearing, and it is highly resistant to chemicals and acids.
Due to its simple structure and anchor shape the newly developed Covertec CPL HDPE offers outstanding robust concrete protection. Through the use of top-quality high-density polyethylene casting resin (HDPE) the concrete protection is suitable for chemically aggressive environments. In an extrusion process the 1.5 mm thick lining is homogeneously bonded to the anchors on one side, thus achieving the best possible bond with the concrete and providing maximum safety.
